6.1 R-FPCB Demand & Process Optimization for Mobile Camera Modules

With the continuous upgrading of mobile imaging technology, smartphone camera modules have strict requirements for ultra-thin structure, high flatness and miniaturization, which highly rely on customized R-FPCB solutions. Maxipcb adopts targeted optimized processes for camera module dedicated R-FPCB: laser cutting deviation detection pads are etched on the base substrate, copper-free layout is adopted along the laser cutting path, and adjacent boards share cutting lines to improve processing efficiency. The asymmetric stacking structure strictly controls board warpage within ≤ 0.75%; mechanical blind milling is used for window opening in rigid sections to avoid damage to flexible layers, and high-precision laser forming is adopted for flexible sections, with shape tolerance stably controlled at ±0.05mm. At present, the optimization of heat dissipation and structural strength for compact camera modules is still in progress.

• Process Control: Adopts electrolytic cleaning technology for inner layer pattern transfer (supporting 0.1mm~0.15mm line width/spacing), OPE positioning and X-ray drilling for multi-layer alignment, and optimized lamination and drilling parameters to ensure product precision and flatness.
