PTFE PCB material is mainly used as electrical insulation materials and PCB substrates that contact corrosive media, mainly for supporting sliders, track seals, and lubricating materials. With the development of science and technology.
PTFE PCB is now widely used in the chemical industry, medicine, dyestuff industry containers, storage tanks, reaction tower kettles, large pipeline anti-corrosive lining materials. Machinery, architecture, aerospace, military industry, communications, transportation bridge sliders, guideways; Anti-stick materials in printing and dyeing, light industry, and textile industry.
In the manufacturing of PTFE PCB, it should be noted that the plate grinding process can not be used, and the plasma process needs to be used. After the plasma treatment, the surface is evenly etched and the protrusion increases, which can enhance the binding force of PTFE material and enhance the hydrophilicity of PTFE material. It has better copper plating and solder resist ink treatment effect.
High frequency of electronic equipment is the development trend, especially with the increasing development of wireless network and satellite communication, information products tend to be high-speed and high-frequency, and communication products are moving towards the standardization of voice, video, and data of wireless transmission with large capacity and high speed, Satellite system, mobile phone receiving base station and other communication products must use a high-frequency circuit board. In the next few years, it will develop rapidly, and there will be a large demand for the PTFE high-frequency board.
The basic characteristics of PTFE high-frequency PCB materials are as follows:
(1) The ptfe dielectric constant (DK) must be small and stable. Generally, the smaller the better, the signal transmission rate is inversely proportional to the square root of the dielectric constant of the material.A high dielectric constant can easily cause signal transmission delay.
(2) The dielectric loss (DF) must be small, which mainly affects the quality of signal transmission. The smaller the dielectric loss, the smaller the signal loss.
(3) The coefficient of thermal expansion should be consistent with that of copper foil as much as possible because inconsistency will cause separation of copper foil in cold and hot changes.
(4) Low water absorption and high water absorption will affect the dielectric constant and dielectric loss when affected by moisture.
(5) Other heat resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and peel strength must also be good.
Advantages of polytetrafluoroethylene sheet:
1) High-temperature resistance - the operating temperature is up to 250 degree Celsius.
2) Low-temperature resistance good mechanical toughness; 5% elongation can be maintained even when the temperature drops to - 196 degree Celsius.
3) Corrosion resistance: for most chemicals and solvents, it is inert and resistant to strong acid and alkali, water, and various organic solvents.
4) Weather resistance is the best aging life of plastics.
5) High lubrication -- the lowest friction coefficient among solid materials.
6) Nonadhesion is the minimum surface tension of solid materials, which does not adhere to any substance, and its mechanical properties are very small, only 1 / 5 of that of polyethylene, which is an important feature of perfluorocarbon surface. Because of the low intermolecular force of the fluorine carbon chain, polytetrafluoroethylene has no viscosity.
7) No toxicity - it has physiological inertia. It can be implanted as an artificial blood vessel and organ for a long time without adverse reactions.
8) The ptfe dielectric constant and dielectric loss of PTFE is very low in a wide frequency range, and the breakdown voltage, volume resistivity, and arc resistance are high.

Polytetrafluoroethylene plate (also known as tetrafluoroethylene PCB, Teflon PCB, PTFE PCB) is divided into two types: molding and turning. The molding plate is made of polytetrafluoroethylene resin by molding at room temperature, and then sintering and cooling. Polytetrafluoroethylene turning plate is made of polytetrafluoroethylene resin by pressing, sintering, and rotary cutting. Its products have a wide range of uses, with extremely superior comprehensive performance: high and low temperature (- 192 degree Celsius - 260 degree Celsius), corrosion resistance (strong acid, strong alkali, aqua regia, etc.), weather resistance, high insulation, high lubrication, non-adhesion, non-toxic and other excellent characteristics.
PTFE resin has good high-frequency transmission performance. PTFE PCB baseboard buried resistance circuit board has wide application prospects in the field of high-frequency microwave communication. The fluctuation degree of the resistance value of PTFE PCB buried resistance is related to the etching fluctuation size and the design value of resistance value. Process flow of buried resistance circuit board with PTFE baseboard and process control for stringent linewidth tolerance and high precision resistance value. Maxipcb uses the "non-uniform compensation" manufacturing method for the non-uniform etching of PTFE circuit boards. The PTFE PCB linewidth tolerance can reach (+) 0.01mm tolerance which is better than the standard accepted by the ordinary PCB by using a different non-uniform compensation method than that of the ordinary FR-4 circuit board. With the method of "non-uniform compensation", under stable etching lines of PCB, the resistance accuracy of the PTFE buried resistance double-sided PCB plates with the resistance of 50 Ohm and 100 Ohm can reach (+) 3 ohm.
Because of these advantages of polytetrafluoroethylene plate, resulting in a lot of difficulties in processing, processing difficulty to increase a lot. Maxipcb has 17 years of professional production experience for polytetrafluoroethylene PCB, PTFE PCB, Teflon high-frequency PCB, F4BM PCB, dielectric constant 2.2-3.5, and has formed a complete set of processing systems. The product quality can be guaranteed completely.

PTFE plates, the core substrate of PTFE PCB, are mainly divided into two types according to the manufacturing process: molding type and turning type.
  • Molded PTFE plate: Made of PTFE resin through room temperature molding, followed by sintering and cooling processes, with stable performance and suitable for large-scale production.
  • Turned PTFE plate: Made of PTFE resin through pressing, sintering, and rotary cutting processes, with high precision and suitable for customized products with special size requirements.
Both types of PTFE plates have extremely superior comprehensive performance, including high and low temperature resistance (-192°C to 260°C), corrosion resistance (resisting strong acids, strong alkalis, aqua regia, etc.), weather resistance, high insulation, high lubrication, non-adhesion, non-toxicity, and other excellent characteristics, providing a reliable material foundation for PTFE PCB.

PTFE resin has excellent high-frequency transmission performance, making PTFE PCB buried resistance circuit boards have broad application prospects in the field of high-frequency microwave communication. The fluctuation of the resistance value of PTFE PCB buried resistance is related to the etching fluctuation and the designed resistance value. The manufacturing of PTFE substrate buried resistance circuit boards requires strict process control, especially for line width tolerance and high-precision resistance value.
Maxipcb adopts a "non-uniform compensation" manufacturing method for the non-uniform etching of PTFE circuit boards. Different from the non-uniform compensation method of ordinary FR-4 circuit boards, this method can make the line width tolerance of PTFE PCB reach ±0.01mm, which is better than the industry standard of ordinary PCB. Under the condition of stable PCB etching lines, the resistance accuracy of PTFE buried resistance double-sided PCBs with resistance values of 50Ω and 100Ω can reach ±3Ω, meeting the high-precision requirements of high-frequency communication equipment.

Although PTFE PCB has excellent performance, its manufacturing process is complex and difficult. Maxipcb has 17 years of professional production experience in polytetrafluoroethylene PCB, PTFE PCB, Teflon high-frequency PCB, and F4BM PCB, with a dielectric constant range of 2.2-3.5. After years of technical accumulation, Maxipcb has formed a complete set of mature processing systems, which can effectively solve the difficulties in PTFE PCB manufacturing and fully guarantee product quality, providing customers with reliable PTFE PCB products and customized solutions.
