Laser trimming equipment adopts highly focused micro laser beams with matched energy density to irradiate thick-film and thin-film resistor materials. The resistive body of chip resistors is gasified locally to adjust the effective cross-sectional area, so as to achieve precise resistance trimming. During the whole laser processing cycle, the integrated measurement system conducts real-time sampling and dynamic monitoring on chip resistance parameters. Once the measured resistance reaches the rated target value, the laser output will be cut off instantly to complete the automatic resistance calibration process. Laser resistor trimming technology features superior accuracy, high processing efficiency, long-term operational stability and cost-effective production performance.
