Robot hardware development often faces high cost and closed technical ecology. It usually takes a lot of research and development energy to build a stable and extensible manipulator system from scratch.

OpenArm Hardware is an open source robot hardware project, which aims to provide a complete set of mechanical arm CAD data and manufacturing information, and provide a standardized hardware foundation for robot research and development.

This project not only includes the complete assembly model of the mechanical arm, but also provides detailed manufacturing guide, circuit connection diagram and bill of materials, which is convenient for developers to customize, print and reproduce.

Main functions:

-Provide complete assembly documents in STEP format, covering the design of master arm and slave arm;
-including STL model that can be directly used for 3D printing, which is convenient for rapid prototyping;
-Provide design of various functional accessories such as camera bracket and PCB hub shell;
-Detailed wiring drawings to guide cable manufacturing and complex circuit connection;
-Complete technical specifications, bill of materials (BOM) and step-by-step assembly guide;
-Adopt CERN-OHL-S-2.0 open source protocol to encourage communities to submit improvement and adaptation schemes.

The project supports the collaboration of various CAD platforms and provides complete online document support, which is suitable for robot researchers, hardware engineers and advanced makers.
